But, where would you mount the Dura-Tred? The most popular fork used on road bikes today is the fork with a lower profile dropout. It is called the disc specific fork. The lower profile of disc specific fork reduces the amount of flex while lowering the front end stress on the brake contacts and lowers the center of gravity. This allows for a lighter, stronger brake system that is more reliable and efficient. The fork with a lower profile also reduces ground bumpiness and bumps while the suspension is moving.
